This Privacy Policy describes how AI Security Camera & Viewer (the “App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses and protects your information when you use the App.

By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the App.

Information We Collect

We collect and process the following categories of information:

• Camera and microphone data: Video and audio recorded when a device is used in camera mode.
• Local recordings and events: Motion detection events, screenshots or video clips generated by the App.
• Device and technical information: Device model, operating system version, language, time zone, app version, basic logs and crash reports.
• Usage information: How you interact with the App (e.g. which screens you visit, which features you use, basic timing and frequency of sessions).
• Identifiers for advertising and analytics (if you consent): Mobile advertising identifiers, IP address fragments or similar identifiers used by our advertising and analytics partners to show ads and measure their performance.
• Support communication: Any information you provide when you contact us for support (such as your email address and a description of the issue).

How Video and Audio Are Handled

The App is designed so that recordings are primarily stored locally on the devices you configure as cameras. Video and audio are captured by those devices and, by default, saved locally or processed locally for motion detection.

When you view a live stream or an event from another device acting as a viewer, video and audio may be transmitted over the internet between your devices. In some cases, this may involve temporary processing via our infrastructure or trusted service providers solely to deliver the stream or notification. We do not use your video or audio content to train models or to build profiles for advertising.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• To provide the core functionality of the App, including camera mode, viewer mode and live streaming.
• To detect motion and other events and to generate recordings and notifications.
• To show push notifications about activity detected by your cameras.
• To sync basic configuration between devices you link (for example, camera/viewer pairing and camera lists).
• To maintain and improve the App, fix bugs, and analyze performance.
• To show advertisements (if you use ad-supported features) and to measure their performance.
• To respond to your support requests and communicate with you about the App.

Advertising and Tracking

The App may display ads and offer rewards or credits for watching them. We may work with third-party advertising and analytics providers that use identifiers (such as advertising IDs) and certain usage data to show relevant ads and to measure ad performance.

On iOS, if required, we use the App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework to ask for your permission before using identifiers that may be used to track you across apps and websites owned by other companies. You can change your tracking permissions at any time in your device settings.

Data Storage and Retention

Most recordings and events are stored on your own devices and are under your control. You can delete recordings and events at any time from within the App or by removing the App or its local data from a device.

Where we temporarily process data on our servers (for example, to deliver notifications or relay a live stream), we retain such data only for as long as is necessary to provide that specific function and then delete or anonymize it.

Technical logs and analytics data may be retained for a reasonable period in order to improve the stability, performance and security of the App.

Data Sharing and Third Parties

We may share limited information with third parties in the following situations:

• Service providers: We may use third-party services to provide infrastructure, analytics, advertising, push notifications and crash reporting. These providers process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes beyond what is necessary to provide their services.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required to do so by law, court order or governmental authority, or if we believe that such action is necessary to comply with legal obligations, protect our rights, or protect the safety of users or others.

We do not sell your personal information and we do not share your video or audio content for marketing purposes.

Your Choices and Controls

You have the following options and controls:

• You can enable or disable access to the camera, microphone, notifications and location in your device settings.
• You can delete recordings and events stored on your devices at any time.
• You can choose whether to subscribe or to use ad-supported features with credits.
• You can withdraw permission for tracking (where applicable) in your device privacy settings.
• You can uninstall the App to stop all collection and processing by the App on that device.

Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we can delete the information.

Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure or access. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

International Transfers

Depending on your location and the location of our service providers, your information may be processed in countries other than your own. We take steps to ensure that any such transfers comply with applicable data protection laws.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically to stay informed about how we are protecting your information.
